The Santa Barbara Scottish Rite Language Center is a non-profit center that provides screenings, evaluations, and therapy services to preschool through kindergarten age children. In operation since 1984, the center is a philanthropy of the Scottish Rite, a concordant body of the Freemasons. One of 170 Rite Care Centers across the U.S., our Center is located in downtown Santa Barbara on the 4th floor of the Masonic Center.
As with all facilities across the nation, the Santa Barbara facility is staffed by licensed Speech and Language Pathologists. Nearly 50 children are provided speech and language therapy each week in order to facilitate successful communication.
All therapy services and programs are made possible through the generosity of donations, grants and special events which are a gift to the community. Visit our national interactive map here for more information on Rite Centers around the U.S.
All of us at the SB Language Center are saddened by the recent passing of our Chief Executive Officer, Andy Saar. He has served as the personal representative since 2003. Andy always offered support, guidance and encouragement at the language center. He loved being a part of the language center and helping local children and their families. He will be deeply missed by everyone.
If you would like to make a donation in his honor, it can be done via paypal on our website.
